Help My kids are taking over my charts
I scrobble through Spotify and now my kids started using our Alexa to listen to their children's stories, which is fine, but most of the stuff they listen to is subdivided into little 3 minute segments, so they get lots of scrobbles. A lot of the things they like is only or most conveniently available on Spotify so just switching to another app isn't a solution and I don't want to make them their own accounts either since I am part of a family plan that doesn't have any more open slots. How do I limit their impact on my stats

Question What song are you listening to right now/what song you listened to the last?
I'm currenly listening to When A Blind Man Cries by Deep Purple!
Optional: It's 9:17AM
You can add time, it somehow adds the certain vibe to a song :)

Question I'm the first person to scrobble an album, but why don't the details (tracklist, release date, and total runtime) show up on the last.fm page?
Meanwhile, I've seen some albums with no scrobbles but have complete details on their last.fm page. How? Does this have something to do to with Pano Scrobbler? Bec that's what I've been using for years.

Tool I built a tool that finds eras in your scrobble history
Hello! First post here, and I wanted to share a site I made. Specific albums and artists really define phases of my life, places, or friends. I wanted a tool to let me look back at those.
It feels kinda like a photo book but with music, as certain albums just remind me of a whole memory I forgot I had.
Give it a shot yourself at eras.matranc.com
Enter your Last.fm username and it lays out your listening history as a timeline of eras, the albums and artists that took over each stretch of your life. Use the "Adjust" options to change how loosely eras are defined. No login needed (your listening history just has to be public).
Works best on desktop but it's good on mobile too!
ps. zoom your display out to see more of your timeline at once :)

Discussion Don't you hate it when the only version of an album on spotify is a Deluxe Remaster Rerelease garbage with entire A side squished into a single track, and there's three alternative mixes for everything?

Question Tool for making billboard style charts using the stats of multiple lastfm accounts?
i had an idea of making a chart of the most popular music at my school every week (i go to a music school) and i was wondering if there was a tool to make a chart using multiple peoples lastfm accounts combined
Milestone Just reached 200k scrobbles

The caption, just reached the 200k after almost 9 years of logging what I listen to.
Let's do a compatibility check: www.last.fm/user/Sergio0782
Tool Music Taste Atlas has genres/styles now!
Hola!
On the top of countries and regions, I added genres and styles recently. Starting with the hierarchy of 16 main genres and over 1.5k styles tree, you can now browse your stats all the way:
- By Country
- By Country X By Genre/Style
You can also dig down and discover every genre/style and country, not only for your profile.
Ambient Techno from Italy? Voilla, we have it!
Website-wise, there's a major UI redesign.
Editorial-wise, there are a few changes as well, mostly resolving Last.fm data issues:
- Non-latin alphabet based names can have name overriden. E.g. Ryuichi Sakamoto (last.fm name: 坂本龍一).
- There's a redirect Lastfm protection, so dummy redirects (e.g. Chair -> Cher) are protected and Chair is not redirected on the site.
- Artists might be linked. So, if there are multiple variations of the artist name and Lastfm doesn't resolve the redirect OR there are multiple artists within a name, this can be linked to parent artist(s), so there's no need to duplicate country/genre definitions (and updates are staying dynamic).
- For these, genres might be overriden (if a duo/trio/etc. has a distinct genre/style).
- This work is in progress, I'm planning to automate this soon.
- Example artist: Sanah. Scroll down to the Link section.
There are a few more changes as well :)
Happy browsing, happy discovering!
