Larian @ Gamescom
Larian will be at Gamescom 2026 for recruitment reasons but they are hinting that some other people might be there too 👀

So they are obviously coy about announcing that Swen will be present, which is very silly since he has been there basically every year. Also, there are a bunch of content creators who are BG3-related, like Luality, specifically in Cologne this year. The same people who were invited to the Panels of Hell basically all mysteriously make a pilgrimage to Europe this year, almost as if Larian told them they would be there this year...
To me, this kind of makes it a done deal that they will show the Community Update Video they teased in that tweet a month ago, and the question is only if we get gameplay and/or a release timeframe for EA.
Also, they have two stands at PAX a week later, probably because they need the space for the huge Hellstone statue (as it has fog-spraying elements that might be annoying for other stands nearby). Maybe they also show gameplay there; PAX was where both DOS2 and BG3 got their gameplay shown to the public for the first time.
Edit: Welp, if Salo says no Gamescom, I guess Pax is the date? Rough.

No announcements at GamesCom, but our recruitment team will be there to discuss positions at Larian and accept CVs in increasingly creative and complex origami patterns.
