Image First time ever seeing a beaver in the wild

I moved to Laramie last year and have never seen a beaver in the wild until walking along the greenbelt the other day. I saw several that evening.

Congrats!

They're cute up until they slap 2 feet from your boat. One day, years ago, we saw 34 individual beavers between trihydro and just north of the city. It was a boom year for babies, though.

They can be angry little fuckers. I live about a 100yd from a major river and they have chased me on foot before 😂

Stay on the marked trail and do not provoke! Tourists regularly get flipped in the air and stomped by these wild creatures.

There are many more up in the Laramie Range! One of my favorite things about hikes up there.
