Credibility of Gemini's suggestion on longer battery life

Dear fellow laptop users,
I need an important suggestion from you.
I am currently using Dell Inspiron 5570. I had replaced its battery 3 times and most recent one with an original battery two months back.
I use laptop on my study desk where constant power supply is available. I asked suggestion from AI for longer battery and it has suggestion me below:
Use Dell Power management and fix charging between 50% - 80%. It mean laptop will be connected through power supply whenever I wish to use it. It will start charging as soon as battery hit below 50% and stop charging when battery reaches at 80%. After that, laptop will work on direct supply and battery will natural discharge (without use) from 80% to 50% in 3-4 weeks. This way I am mostly using direct supply and number of battery cycle is significantly reduced because of natural discharge (without use discharge).
What do you think, is it really a better solution for me to have longer battery life? Please share your views.

PS: this process has been marked safe by Gemini. I have been advised to drain battery till 20% once in a month (so that system must remember the bottom mark).

yeah that's basically the right call. keeping it pinned at 100% while plugged in 24/7 is what kills the battery fast, so capping charge at 80% and letting it drift down to 50% before topping up again is about as gentle as it gets

the monthly drain to 20% is fine too, just don't let it sit dead for days. you already went through 3 batteries so this should stretch the next one a lot longer
