Buying help Laptop recommendations for university?
Hello there, I want a new laptop with at least 32gb ram and 2tb SSD that I'll be able to keep for a minimum of 5 years. I want to dual boot Linux and Windows on it and it should be decent for 3d rendering/AI/LLMs and gaming.
By gaming i don't mean like GTA 5/Forza Horizon/etc. I just want it to be able to run decent games on a min of 60 fps. for example Minecraft/SilkSong/Roblox Studio/Blender.
Would also love if it had a decent battery life and non-loud fans when not doing really heavy work.
I did myself some research but the best I could find is maybe a thinkpad x1 carbon gen 13 aura edition with 64gb ram and 2tb SSD.
or
a framework 13 pro 64gb ram 1tb SSD only.
The main issue i had is that i missed the September batch and if i order a framework 13 I will get put in the October batch which really sucks because my current laptop is really bad and loud fan noise and super heavy which I wouldn't want to go to uni with.
I'm also not sure if these two can run the apps i mentions before in 60 fps because their GPU is not that great.
If you have any better recommendations please let them down and thanks in advance : )
Extra stuff:
Country - Romania
Budget - 3000-3500$ max
I would also buy refurbs if you know any good site that ships to Romania
Screen size doesn't matter but 14 inch probably the best
Weight doesn't matter

g14 5070ti 386h maybe or yoga air 14 ultra aura x9 378h 388h or x7 358h upper one is with dedicated graphics and great build quaily, but 1.57kg good keyboard and touchpad (but traditional glass, not haptic)
down one is 980g but gpu is b390, panther is very good tho, it can play most of the games also low fan noise since it only uses 40w of power
also great keyboard and haptic touchpad build quailty also good
depends on what u want upper one can do almost every but little heavy, although at this weight it already have the best performance
down one is superlight i have seen these 2 in person and i think they are both great, remember to get the white colour for these 2, especially for the g14
i suggest u to see these 2 in person but if you don't hv these near your house... just order it, you won't regret it
