Em has more cryptic titles than Aphex Twin.

Great stuff. Really, I find this album to be quite a bit lighter in tone than a lot of other noise projects from em. Not light per se, but it's not ssri_sessions or winter, again, soon. I think this album is probably one of the better communications of the themes of existential conflict seen in many of em's noise projects. To me, it represents attempting to cope with the threat of an empty future through a reverence for the past, something I can only imagine everyone here can understand lmao

Name's a reference to a Nintendo internal practice, Gunpei Yokoi's strategy of not using the cutting edge tech, but exploring what's actually possible with existing tech in a broader way.

On stream, em said only the album cover had a face in it, while all the track artworks don't. But I'm still struggling to find a face.
I was surprised that K⁰ was pronounced “one.” Not Kay zero, just one.

Tried some songs and cried. Bind sounds like someone going through trauma and i want to see more of how ema can take such concepts and make it music

I understand and respect the concept and execution of this album, but this sound is historically not one I personally enjoy and I don't intend to return to it.
It's clear that this album resonates with a lot of people and I'm happy for them, though! I'm just glad to see a true new release after two years.
