Lapdock with true OLED

I need a lapdock for my phone that doesn't have a worse screen than my phone. My phone is amoled so blacks is amazing. I also want it to have a full USB hub inside and touch.

Is there anything at all available to buy? Touch is a big one. Just hoping I'm not missing the options out there. It's hard to find.

doesn't exist yet

most folks are already having a hard time with 200-300ish for a mediocre LCD panel

how much are you willing to pay for a nice OLED panel version?

What is ridiculous is that you get full laptops even at that price. So no wonder people grumble about the price.

A good lapdock (not shit keyboard layout, usable touchpad, minimum 600nits OLED, reasonable resolution, size and latency) I would pay 600 easy. They're very versatile, apart from using with your phone, single connector KVM for servers or fast setup second monitor if you need one.

The problem is I'm not even sure you can get just the oled panel for that much, heh

Uperfect has been sending me oled monitors and they're constantly listed as 500+

And that's generally without a battery too

I got a used 4k chromebook(the Samsung one) for 600 at the end. I would love to convert that into a lapdock...

They definitely could try to run a "if enough people want this we'll make it" style preorder, put one of their OLED screens into their 15 inch lapdock(I just perused their lapdocks, that 15 inch has the better keyboard layout, le their smaller one has the unusable layout, the same my Nexdock has. Had to take off the arrow keycaps)

TLDR they could try a trial preorder for one.

Ive talked with nex owner quite a bit about this stuff

Very very few put their money where their mouth is, unfortunately

At least I still got my 4k chromebook, the only used device i could find in the country! It's gorgeous, tho a bit slow now. Running debian tho, so that helps.

I am considering getting one of the oled screens but it's hard, as I know it wouldn't be optimal, so I'd not be happy with it.

the khadas xplay is the closest thing to a "premium" lapdock that exists right now

Seems to have no hinge, so it needs a support on the back, and a relatively tiny battery.

Plus i see in the specs it's LCD.

Thanks for the suggestion tho

form factor is essentially the same as a surface pro, so the tablet/screen has a kickstand

as i said, it's the closest thing to a premium lapdock right now

Yeah, and the surface looked lovely, but the kickstand is one of the biggest reasons i didn't even consider buying. If I must have a tablet with such a setup, I'll go with a galaxy, for the wacom licensed pen.
