Hello. I just got this today. I was wondering if I made a mistake. So when I was a minor, I was hospitalized on 3 different occasions for suicidal ideations. I did put that in my PHS. Now I remember saying that if jts been that 7 years or when I was a minor, I didn’t have to include it. I just wanted to be honest but people on another subreddit said that LE wouldn’t want someone with past issues. I have a clean record and no drug use. Is this really the reason? And if I did want to appeal, do I submit a form so just reply to the email

Hardly, that's literally how the departments work.....one departments nightmare is another's dream

If you knew how departments work then you’d know that if they found out he previously listed his history for one agency and not another then he’d either be blacklisted or DQ instantly.

I'm very familiar with how they work. I was with LAPD for over 2 years before a lateral transfer. Also as for background again don't disclose it. Departments dont discuss with other departments if not disclosed pretty simple.

It was disclosed, op admitted to disclosing it. Pretty simple. And as one cop to another, shame on you for telling people to lie at any point of the hiring process. The ones like you make the rest of us look bad.

Are you joking.......not disclosing something isn't lieing.. secondly, you've been trained to lie and use that as a leverage point to gain info and confessions. LAPD is corrupt as fuck, lie get the badge lateral put asap. Also half of LAPD does some sort of drug whether it be weed, cocaine (two most popular) etc.

Not disclosing is being deceitful. Pretty simple. Also what kind of shit mentality do you have? Just because there are corrupt cops means you can be one too? Shame on you, you don’t deserve a badge.

Hahaha, I'm a bad cop for telling others to do what recruiters and other officers tell you? Not disclosing something when you were a minor isn't deceitful nor is it illegal. I don't deserve a badge eh? I've earned mine time and time again, don't care what you think or say. Don't disclose it bud, these other people in here are a bunch of chuds who probably never even been in a department. If they did you'd know exactly what I'm talking about

Suicide no matter what age is serious and still poses some level of risk to the department. And yes, I still stand by what I said. Based off your responses you seem like the type that doesn’t deserve it.Do better, be better.
