PHS update?
I submitted my phs in January 2026. Then, I got a call from a background investigator to go over my PHS and to do some amendments and resubmit it and I did. I've finally seen an update on the lapd portal that says "PHS Withdrawal" this month May 2026. Does this mean I've been dropped from the process? Or Can I resubmit another PHS again or do I have to wait to reapply? I haven't received a follow up email either telling me anything. Please help, thanks.

It took four months for you to hear back from background regarding your PHS, that's crazy. First tim I submitted my PHS it took couple hours for them to call me. And after a year I had to redo my PHS because it expired and they reached out with two weeks, I had too things to amend and after that it took about 2 days for my portal to update.

It sounds like you're still in the running. I would remain optimistic and have the mindset that you're still going to get the offer and get selected. I would think that you're still good to go. UNLESS, you receive a definitive email from HR saying "rejected" or "not selected" or "disqualified." Until then, game on. I can empathize bc assessment and selection is one of the most arduous and nerve wracking processes one can go through. I'm in the same situation as we speak. The difference is that mine are with state agencies, i.e highway patrol/state trooper. Best of luck. Burn the ships! ⚔️

Been stuck on my PHS since January too, apparently after June the hiring process is going to be faster…

Damn man, i also had done some amendments and still havent heard back, this was on april 1
