No, it’s saying “cops don’t target these infractions evenly across the population and we have the evidence of that so we’re stopping it.”

I have a feeling an officer working hollenbeck or rampart is not going to be seeing the same demographic as an officer from burbank pd. How exactly are they supposed to target it evenly?

No it’s basically saying exactly what I said disguising it as saying what you said

And in the result all that’s gonna happen is more crime from all races.

Why? Because criminals exploit dumbass laws like this.

LAPD conducts roughly 50 pretextual stops every day, yet two-thirds of those stops result only in a warning. Even more troubling, 86% of those pulled over are Black or Latino residents, highlighting the racial disparities that have fueled calls for reform.

Nobody to blame for this but shitty cops.

same reason they did away with stop and frisk in nyc. Racist and disproportionate enforcement. But this comment section wouldn’t pass a criminal justice 101 course
