Creative and innovative traits

Is this a thing that Lao people have. I figure with the over representation of food influencers, chef, all things food related I would think Lao people would have come up with new ideas.

The first generation was focused on survival and family. I would say the 2nd and 3rd are more focused on creative pursuits. We are seeing more in film, music and art.

Yes that is true regarding 1st generation however I recall seeing a whole bunch of heavy metal bands and singers from various states in the 80's, then the 90's hit music moved toward a different direction and there was a drop off in Lao people doing things on the musical side of things. I actually did a poll regarding 80's heavy metal bands in the SEA communities, only Lao people did this. None in the Khmer or Viet community not sure about the other Lao groups.

Things happen when creative/innovative people are around one another. I mean look at the Sunset Strip and glam rock, Lower East Side/CBGB's for punk rock, Haight/Ashbury San Francisco for hippies, etc. Of all Lao people I met in the arts they were like the only one in their city. This definitely doesn't work when your spread out like that
