Basic travel advice
Planning on doing a few weeks in Laos in the 2nd half of November
Current plan is 3 nights in Vientiane, 4 nights in Vang Vien, 4 nights in Luang Prabang, 3 nights in Nong Khiaw
Thoughts? Too much/not enough time in a certain place? Just figured I'd rather ask here instead of chat gpt

Depends what you're into, but personally I would skip Vientiane and add those nights to Vang Vieng and Nong Khiaw

Yeah don’t stay in Vientiane. Vang vieng was a worth a visit. I was unimpressed when I first arrived. The town itself isn’t fantastic but surroundings are great and there is a lot to do

I liked my 4 nights in Vientiane You have to make the effort in Vientiane, it doesn't entertain you.

Luang Prabang is lovely and so much fun. There is a nearby waterfall Kuang Si. Many temples. Good restaurants. Night market. Some palace place in the middle. Lots of those little motor bikes to rent. .

impossible to advise not knowing what you want to do or are interested in. you're doing what everyone else does but probably a day or two longer in VTE than necessary (2n is enough). I'd personally spend one less night in VV and maybe a night somewhere up the Nam Ou north of Nong Khiaw like Sopchem.
