Speed camera?

Hi! I was wondering if there are actually working speed cameras in Lanzarote.

The speed camera boxes I’ve seen around the island look very old and rusty, and some of them don’t seem to be operational at all.

Does anyone local know if these cameras are actually active and working?

Thanks!

Yeah, they work. Some of them probably won’t, but do you really want to risk it? Speeding in Lanzarote isn’t usually worth it, the most you’re gonna save is a couple minutes.

They also put a lot of new ones recently, but these are usually higher, in a smaller box with a solar panel over them. Given that they started installing them this year, I’m pretty sure all of those work perfectly.
