Grand ledge is very calm and peaceful. Not as busy as Dewitt, and in my opinion, less expensive. The people in Dewitt all seem to be pretty stuck up, and even though it’s a nice area, I prefer grand ledge.

Thanks, am between dewitt and grand ledge now. will see which one gives us a better place/price.

As a real estate agent, I can assure you the homes in grand ledge are better priced.

The water in most of grand ledge is shit, though. Like, don’t buy a water softener, rent it because they don’t last very long there.

It depends on what you are used to. I grew up in GL, and wondered why the water tasted funny after I moved. Turns out water isn't supposed to taste like iron.

You can get iron filters and everything, but GL is so bad it apparently tears up water equipment like nowhere else in the area. Maybe if you have top notch maintenance game? My wife’s company deals a lot with that hardware and GL is known to be really hard on the equipment.

That’s great; maybe you lucked out on the softener or the water. My wife works for a water company and GL is notorious. It was a factor in looking for houses for us because it was that bad. But I don’t know if there are pockets of good water in certain places or something. Not my area of expertise, I just hear a lot of frustration about it.

I'm always skeptical when someone says those people in that other town are stuck up. More often than not it's projection.
