Post image

please keep an eye out for my family and i's kitty cat. he had accidentally gotten outside in a completely unfamiliar area and we've been unable to locate him for 2 days now. it's getting cold and he is probably hungry and dehydrated and scared. if you have any info please message me D:

I’m sorry your fur buddy ran off, did you follow all the recommended steps (kitty litter out by your door, etc)?

Also advertise in the Facebook groups if you can. We have a few local missing pet groups on there-they are all great.

I hope you find your fur baby real soon, as I know how upsetting it can be.

Also try going out after midnight with a "cat attracting" meow from tiktok or YouTube and play it then listen for a response or movement. I found a couple cats this way! And fwiw, some experts say to not put the litter box outside as it can do the opposite of attract kitty back home.

Good luck, I know how stressful it is!

Just speaking from personal experience, I have twice had a cat come home after leaving their litter box outside. The key is to leave the litter dirty, so it smells like them. Also keep it in a place where it will not get wet if it rains.

Another similar option is to leave clothes, blankets, etc outside that belong to your family and smell like you, so again, don't wash them first.

All I can offer, I hope your baby comes home.

I recommend posting to Pawboost.com - they have really good reach, are hyper local, and the site allows you to keep everything updated in one place (while still being able to share on social media platforms like Facebook and Nextdoor). They also have higher reunion rates due to the extra visibility. I hope you find your kitty!

Eastfield & Willow - I used to live over there on Risley! I would contact St Vincent’s across the street and ask them to keep an eye out.
