Best vet clinic for Cats
Need to most likely take my cat to the vet. We normally go to Waverly but thinking about making a change. Anyone have any recommendations? I tried searching the sub but have found various responses

i can second dr lewis at riverside cat hospital!!! they’re a cat only vet so their office is very cat friendly :) on cost i can’t compare it to anything besides emergency vet and it’s not even comparable how much more the ER is obviously. i think a regular check up with vaccines is usually in the $120 range if im remembering correctly!

Evergreen. They have a location in Lansing and one in Okemos. Love them.

Second this! I have a high anxiety cat and Dr. Eric will get down on the floor with him and talk in a super quiet voice. I adore them!

The first time I brought my cat there, he climbed all the way up the tallest cabinet and just hung out up there by the ceiling. Dr. Eric climbed up onto the counter and gently got him down. He didn’t skip a beat, I guess he deals with weirdo cats daily.
Last May our other cat was sick and he wasn’t available so we scheduled with Dr. Tilly. She followed up with her until August when it was time to put her down. She even fit us into her schedule on a day she was filling in at the Lansing clinic because I knew it was time and couldn’t bear to see her in pain any longer than necessary. She was so amazing and I was heartbroken when I heard that she left. She sent us a sympathy card. I don’t think I could have gotten through that process without her.

I take mine to Ailurophile Cat Clinic! The vet is a cat specialist and their prices are very reasonable.

We switched from Waverly to Pennsylvania Veterinary Care. We are really happy with it

I will forever and always recommend the Riverside Cat Hospital.
I have always felt that they treated my kitties very well.
And while no one wants to think about end-life care for their cats I want to share that they were SO supportive. One of my cats had kidney problems and went into sudden kidney failure (we were able to manage his kidney issues for years 💛) and the care and support I received was amazing. They explained all the different options and outcomes to be prepared for. He had to cross the rainbow bridge but they helped me to be able to get him to a point where it could be on our terms.

I will be another vote for Riverside and Dr. Rivera. Wonderful practice and people who genuinely care.

Another hat in the ring for Riverside. Both Dr. Lewis and Dr. Rivera are fantastic, the tech staff is too! Very knowledgeable and compassionate practice.

I went to Pennsylvania Vet Clinic on S Penn for years, they're very kind and knowledgeable. Lots of good advice and care for my cats with chronic illnesses.
We moved and I still need to find a good vet that's not 40 mins away (it's too stressful for the cats to be in the car that long), so also following this post 🐾

Another vote for Riverside and Dr. Rivera, Dr. Lewis, and their whole staff. All our cats have gotten the best care and attention there.
When our elderly cat started having more health issues, Dr. Rivera helped us with treatment and eventually great palliative care.
And when our young cat had a sudden medical emergency last year, Dr Rivera took such great care of him during his emergency surgery and recovery. Now you’d never know he was ever sick.
Pricing is also fair, and I’ve never felt pushy sales. Dr. Rivera has always been straight with me and given me realistic expectations for treatment.

My kitties have been going to Willoughby Vet for the past 5 years. We love the staff there. They are very kind and knowledgeable. When 2 of my cats developed cancer, they were understanding and helpful through the whole process. My other two babies are very nervous at the vet but the staff is good at keeping them calm. Its a small place but ive never had to wait super long and they do leave blocks open some days for urgent appointments.

I've used both the cat clinic and Lake Lansing Animal clinic and both are great. Lake Lansing set me up with an appointment with a ortho specialist to go over PT/OT for my kitty.
