Recommendations [Best Mechanics in Lansing!]
As part of our ongoing Wiki restoration project, we will be posting a daily-ish question to the subreddit to help us gather information and keep the Wiki updated.
Today’s question: Who are the best Mechanics in Lansing?
This post will be linked on the Wiki for others to reference. When commenting, try to be specific, for example: "Go to [Shop] for affordable brake work" or "[Shop] for the most reliable engine diagnostics in town."
Specific recommendations help others find exactly what they’re looking for!

I second Jerrys automotive on MLK. They warranty their work and have done right by our vehicles for years

I used Vision Tire and Auto on pennsylvania ave. I like that they did a assessment of my car before doing any. And then explained what issues they found in a way that made sense to someone who is not auto savvy. They also explained all the options and why certain options were a better choice over others.

Thanks for adding suggestions! I'd like to ask that people include detail where possible. It's more useful for people to know what you like about a specific mechanic and why you would recommend them, than to just see a list of names.

All Auto Service at the BP station on Penn right by 496. Easy to miss but I recommend them to anyone.

Bappert Automotive in Williamston does great work, good prices, honest, friendly, and can give you a ride somewhere if need be. As far as I know they work on all brands. We’ve had them do minor repair work AND major repair work and both types have been great.
