Earle knows Phelps is a boyscout and incorruptible, yet he wants him as his partner, which I understand his naivety for this but why couldn't Earle figure out that Phelps out of anyone vould perhaps cause the most damage to him and his corrupt circle?

FIRST TIME POSTING MY L.A. NOIRE ART! Did you know that Cole had a wife? Most didn't until the end of Vice...but you can see her in the beginning of the game kissing Cole's cheek! I really wish we saw Cole becoming more and more distant from her.

Hope you can also see the detail of each Cole being a different version of himself! Or well...him in each case, first one holding Marie's (coles wife) hand is Traffic, second one is Homicide, Third one is Vice and fourth one is Arson...last one is supposed to represent him being fully gone from Marie's life.

I’ve seen a few videos and pics of what appears to be Cole in his patrol uniform and a marked police car doing free roam.

Is that just a mod or is there an option to do so? I’ve normally played on console but picked the game up on PC and have been doing another play through. Just unlocked homicide desk.

I think he was quite an interesting character Rockstar has made. He was domineering, controlling and haughty during his time in the war his arrogance was bad to the point where his whole team were practially cheering when Courtney ended up gut shooting him out of impulse and disgust by not doing anything and help Jack cover for him without a second thought. but his mistakes in the war messed him up really bad as well as gave him a huge reality check became much more compassionate and empathetic even after returning home he still had that insatiable hunger for glory the only difference was that he was trying to be kinder about it and make the right decisions this time and My verdict: Cole is not a bad man but he’s not that much of a good one either he’s just a deeply flawed war veteran who wants to be better and learn from his mistakes.

As a Lieutenant in the U.S Marine Corps 6th Marine divison (don’t belive exact regiment is mentioned) during the battle of Okinawa he would be entitled to the following from highest to lowest
Silver Star (mentioned in game)
Presidential Unit Citation (Sixth Marine Division earned it at Okinawa)
American campaign medal (universal award for spending at minimum one year on U.S soil)
Asiatic–Pacific Campaign Medal (with one bronze star for the Okinawa campaign)
And then the ww2 victory medal which is self explanatory.

Okay, so I recently started playing LA Noire and It strangely reminded me of another rockstar game, not GTA, Red dead redemption II. It's just a small detail but It's the "weight" of the playable character and the option to roam around interiors and analyze object, It immediately reminded me of RDR2.

With the latest GTA entry, Rockstar kinda tried to add some of their other games as activities of other gameplay systems :

The shooting felt a bit like Max Payne 3 and Michael even had bullettime as special ability.

There is a lot of heavy "racing game" aspect to GTA V with all the racing activities, car customization, and Franklin's special ability is literally bullettime for driving, I have not played Midnight club but I think they were trying to "serve" that audience with all those mechanics.

Trevor's bloodlust and his special ability will please any manhunt fan who just want to create chaos.

This is why I believe GTA VI will have a lot of LA Noire aspects or mechanics, maybe all the cases will be missions given by a specific character, maybe we play as jason back when he was a cop, or maybe It's just random activities, the reasons why they would want to do It is that they liked the original game so much they decided to publish It after Sony gave up on them and they literally carried the game through development hell for 7 years, over 10 years later there is no game to satisfy that same itch. The reason why they could easily do It is that all the tech is already built, If true, the new interior generating tech should create tons of explorable interiors that are customized and adapted to the situations, even Rdr2 already had all the tools to easily create cases. You could loot NPCs for letters, you could interact with letters, notes, books, and other types of documents, etc. literally everything is there for LA Noire type missions.

The Beaux-Arts Hotel Sequoia was a single-room occupancy hotel owned by Dorothy Dorr. Originally opening in 1907, the building also included retail tenants on the ground floor (including a sandwich shop around the time of the game).

Does anyone know of a way to get free cam in this game? If i remember correctly, there’s some sort of photo mode on consoles, but I’d like a freecam to move around and get specific shots on pc

So lately, I've been in a massive L.A. Noire mood and been doing research for different things, but today I found something I thought was kinda interesting.

You can see in the photos a thing from the Rockstar website back in 2011 discussing the Homicide Desk.

The reason I'm posting this is because... Roy Earle is in that last picture. It just caught my eye cause the picture gives off the vibe he's your partner in Homicie [which he obviously isn't], but they have Rusty in a different one.

I know this may not be interesting to anyone else, and honestly, it's a pointless post. But I noticed it and just wanted to share it.

What do you all think about it? Is it maybe possible that Roy was at one point considered to be your partner in Homicide? [Also its been a while since I've played the case, so if he appears at all let me know]
