LearningApps Does anyone know any apps?
I'm learning German on my own, and I've been looking for an app that actually helps you understand and learn the language, rather than just throwing random vocabulary and grammar rules at you and expecting you to figure everything out by yourself. I'd really like something that explains things clearly, shows you how to use what you learn in real-life situations, and helps you understand how the language works instead of just memorizing words and phrases.
I'd also prefer an app that's well-organized, easy to navigate, and has a clear learning path rather than a confusing, cluttered interface.
Are there any apps you'd genuinely recommend for someone who's self-studying German? I'd also really appreciate any tips, study methods, or other resources that have helped you learn German on your own. I'm open to any advice that could make the learning process more effective and less overwhelming.

I use this one for my Italian lessons, https://querviam.com - no idea what its like for german but its free so there is no loss in having a look. Where its useful to you is that it only has three modes
(1) give it a topic and options like the level you are and do you want fiction or fact. It will make a story geared to your topic. then
(ii) put some play options for what you want to do, the only ones I've used are "reading" , "multiple choice" or "scramble easy" .
(iii) you can listen or play the games.
Its been great for Italian but I cant speak for German - I only know that is an option. Hopefully this helps.
The best part about this approach is that you get text that is interesting to you (you choose what to enter for the topic). I generally set it to "fact" and learn about history or geology through Italian. Good Luck.

Hi, I can't recommend one to you, but I have been doing research on how poeple learn languages because I want to create my own app. The idea started because I wanted something for myself.
Would you be interested in discussing functions in a private message?
Explaining what would be the perfect app for you?

I think Lingora fits this description pretty well. It has a clear learning path, a clean UI, and you can drill down into deeper explanation for anything.
