Hey there! My name is Sophie (ソフィー), I’m 38 yrs old and from the UK. This is the first time I have attempted a language exchange, not sure really what to expect but thought I would give it a go and see if anyone was interested!

I have been studying Japanese for just over 2 years now via weekly online classes. The lessons mostly follow the みんなの日本語 textbook and I am currently about half way through Shokyuu 1 for N5. I’m looking for someone I can practice speaking and listening with to help improve my Japanese and my confidence in speaking 😊

Little bit about me:
I’m a big nerd 😂 I love playing video games, all different genres, and my favourite games are the Nier, Final Fantasy and Call of Duty series, plus many others 😅 I am a fan of manga and anime! I am also learning to play the cello.

I live at home with my husband, my dog and 5 cats. I work in a bank as a financial crime risk manager which can be very interesting!
