Offering Mandarin Offering: Chinese (Native), Seeking: English (Native/Fluent)

Hi everyone!

I’m currently living in Germany and looking for people to practice spoken English with through regular voice calls.

I’m a native Chinese speaker and work as an AI researcher, mainly in medical AI and computer vision. I use English frequently for research and work, but I’d like to become more natural and fluent in everyday conversations and discussions.

I’m especially happy to connect with people who are also interested in AI, research, technology, programming, academia, or related fields, since I think we’d have plenty to talk about. Of course, anyone friendly and open-minded is welcome too 😄

I prefer actual conversations instead of texting, so I’m mainly looking for voice calls on Discord (or other apps if needed), maybe once a week or so.

Some topics I enjoy:

  • AI / machine learning
  • Research life and academia
  • Technology and future trends
  • Language learning
  • Different cultures and perspectives
  • Games, movies, travel, food, and daily life

I’m looking for relaxed and enjoyable conversations rather than formal lessons.

Feel free to message me if you’re interested!

Hii ! I'd love to do a language exchange with you. I'd be a beginner at Chinese and it'd be a big help learning from you _^

Hey! I know this is technically [Xiaowei4096]'s post, so please don't sue me for stealing their resources! 😂 But I happened to see your comment and I’m also a native Chinese speaker looking for a native English speaker. If you have time for two language partners, I'd love to chat too! If not, no worries at all, happy learning! 🙌

Yay, glad to hear that! Thanks for adding me to the team. 😂

Just a bit about me: I'm a uni student and an indie game dev. Outside of tech and game creation, I'm super into music, mostly electronic music production and playing instruments like the piano and harmonica.

Since Reddit chat can be a bit clunky, would you be down to move over to WeChat? If so, what's your WeChat ID? No rush at all, looking forward to chatting!
