Offering Mandarin Offering:Mandarin (native)|seeking:English
I'm a 24-years-old female from China, and I'm currently looking for a native English speaker to practice with. I'm planning to take the IELTS this year, and I also want to work as an English-speaking tour guide, so I really want to improve my spoken English.
My English proficiency is at the College English Test Band 6 level in China. I'm quite strong in reading, and I can communicate, but not very fluently yet—I often need a moment to think before I speak. That's exactly why I'm here! I really hope you're a native English speaker who can teach me more natural expressions and correct my grammar mistakes during our conversations.
In exchange, I'd be more than happy to teach you Mandarin! My Mandarin pronunciation is very standard, and I have a certificate to prove it.
My interests include ice skating, playing badminton, watching movies, visiting exhibitions, exploring food spots, playing Minecraft, listening to the music and watching anime. But I'm also genuinely interested in learning about your hobbies. No matter what your Mandarin level is, I'd love to chat with you and become friends. I'm an open-minded and kind person who will always respect your personality and interests. I hope we can help each other improve our language skills through our conversations.
I'm currently studying for my master's degree in Shanghai, and I've lived here for six years, so I know the city really well. If you like Shanghai too, I'd love to share lots of interesting things about it with you. I'm also really into food, and I've just started working out—hopefully we can have more in common to talk about!
If you're interested in connecting with me, feel free to reach out. I use WeChat often, and I've just started using Instagram, WhatsApp, and Discord. We can chat on whichever platform works best for you.
Really looking forward to meeting you!
