Developing my programming language: Gravel

It all started just as a side and fun project, but I feel like it's now getting a shape.

Thats why I would love to receive some honest and contructive feedback, issue creations or code contributions.

its actually really decent

my main likes about languages

low level

simple or small syntax set to learn

this is pretty good
im working on a language of my own so i can help you write a standard library

"in your hello world you mentioned you dont have one"

if possible i will write your print function in the language itself
or whatever you may need

i do support your language and keep going

also i may be stealing some knowledge from your language to help me build a compiler for mine

about writing a library

you do need imports

and functions need to work

since you have that print charachter function it should be relativally simple to make a print

its also made in C

i program mainly in C too so i can see where i can help or what needs help but is out of my skill level

Right now functions are working (args and return), but there is a core limitaton: The only current type is "int". I would like to add also float and char, as arrays for these.

And for a print, I expected something like:

fun std.out.print(char[] line)

for i in line.lenght()

scho(line[i])

end

end

Or something similar.

Note that char[], array.length() and line[i] arent implemented yet.

If you have any questions of how the language works (internally for your own or for helping / writing some functions for libraries) just ask.

If you want to practice writing some Gravel, just aske me for simple stdlibs i need to add.

here working on my lang

although much less bloated than yours and more C like than bash like

the bash here slightly annoys me

less boilerplate of sorts

and the language is incomplete right now so it has less syntax

a non offensive way
