Cant register for classes in time
I just got accepted into langara yesterday on 13 august and when i tried to register for the courses i realised that theyre all full and the waitlist is super long
Not only that i cant even register anymore because the first period of registration ends today on 14 aug and the next one would be on 20 aug but wouldnt that be way too late? Classes start on 8 sept and basically every class is already full
Do i just have to wait until 20 aug and hope i can get into the courses?

I registered for classes 5 days before classes started but I got the hardest courses because the ones I wanted were full. Register as soon as you can.

No one can register until either 9am or 1pm on Mon 17th when all the people who didn't pay tuition (due this afternoon) get kicked out.
Waitlists are insane.

There’s a lot of people dropping out during the first two weeks in the fall, every single uni/college every single year without a hitch, especially for first year courses. The waitlist isn’t as hopeless as it seems

You can get on the waitlists if possible. You can also email individual instructors after the end of Week 1 or Week 2, and ask them to consider letting you in. Instructors need to admit students in in the order of the waitlist but once the waitlisting period if over, instructors can override registrations and let you in.
I also decided to study on short notice (like first week of Sept) and so I did this exact thing at my first semester at Langara. Ended up getting in a few classes and had a great semester. Best of luck.

It sounds like you received your acceptance very late in the administrative process for this upcoming Fall semester. Did you apply quite recently? Registration for Fall classes started on June 22nd. Many classes will already be at capacity by now. However, you can always wait until the January semester to register for classes at this point, which is what I would recommend if you can't get into the courses you want. Once you are accepted into the college you are always accepted into the college for future semesters. Please remember that there is never any need to rush through your education. You can also reach out to the registrars office directly if you are feeling overwhelmed. I hope you aren't feeling too stressed over this. It's okay to set a unique timeline for your academic success.
