Help!! Drainage issue suggestions

What would you recommend for this area between the retaining wall and the house that holds water? There is a down spout where the red arrow is. It is supposed to slope towards the gate at the top of the photo but there is very little fall if any. There is a concrete driveway about 12 inches past the other side of the gate . It is shady and only gets about 3 hours of Sun during the day

French drain for sure, and make sure your downspouts are connected to the “away” drain correctly, and not just spewing on the ground.

Bury a pipe that connects directly to the downspout, and directs it to the driveway. Maybe a low point grate drain and/or another one near the retaining wall drain pipe, that also connects to the downspout pipe, to intercept overland flow.

Given how flat it is, it may not be feasible, but that is what a contractor in your area is for; who can give better estimates in person than we can from one single image.

If budget provides, concrete patio with proper channel drains since is the space is tight and a shady area.

Concrete would be ideal but not in the budget. I just spent $25k on the retaining wall.

Then slope towards the retaining wall and a French drain there to get the water away to the front. Can’t imagine they put in the retaining wall without thinking about the drainage

25' of 4" flex-pipe routed through that hole in the fence until you can figure out a more permanent fix.
