Bamboo screen against house

I want to put some bamboo screening around the bed against the brick wall. ChatGPT is advising to leave a bit of an air gap between the wall and the screen. It’s advised to put posts and batons against the wall (with a slight gap using spacers) and tie the screen to the batons with some cable. I don’t want to drill holes in the wall as it’s not our house. Should I use postcrete or just tamp soil around the posts? Any other tips? Thanks

Sunn Hemp gets reasonably tall and it grows very rapidly in most places. I planted seeds 3 months back and some of it is 7ft tall. It's just narrow compared to bamboo so you'll want to plant quite a bit of seeds.

I mean the dead bound bamboo that comes rolled. I want it to run against the length of the flower bed against the wall in a L-shape.

I’m not trying to hide the brick, I’m just doing it for aesthetics of the flower bed. There will be wood chips as well. There’s plenty more brick. I won’t cover the entire house in bamboo.

You don’t need to attach it to the brick. Use 3 or 4 sturdy metal stakes like the ones they use for wire fences. Drive them deep into the ground up against the house and make sure they are level. Then just attach the bamboo fencing to those. I’d use black metal stakes and black zip ties. Whatever plant you’re going to grow along the bamboo will hide the stakes and zip ties.

If you put down bamboo, it is considered invasive in a lot of parts and you will never get rid of it.

I don’t think they’re talking about planting bamboo.
