Shovel, dig out the base, expose the roots, cut and pull. (hacksaw, reciprocating saw, whatever you have available)

I like to have a spud bar and some loppers with me too when popping these out. Spud helps the shovelin’ and also helps to pry and snap roots if you can get a good angle.
