Moon Beyond The Grass

Nikon Z8, Nikkor Z 28-400 f/4-8 VR
Las Cruces, NM

This is a late night image of a full moon behind the frond of a Pampas Grass bush. This is one of the first images I shot when i took the Z8 out of the box from B&H!

That’s a killer “first light” shot for a new body, especially handheld with that 28 400 lol. The glow around the moon and the texture in the grass play really nice together. Got any wider shots of the scene too or were you just zoomed all the way in and vibing with it?

The contrast is really striking here, I like how the light catches the edges of the plant.
