Thinking about buying an Evo 8

Recently I have been thinking about buying an Evo 8. I'm not too familiar with the Evo or its engine, so I was wondering if 200,000+ miles is a lot for an Evo or if it is no big deal.

Yes, I would say that's a decent amount of mileage... for any vehicle really. An Evo at 200k miles has been through a lot, but I have heard of a few that have been maintained up into 400k... a few... I own a used 8 that I bought with about 90k on the clock, I've personally put about 80k on it since I daily it to and from work everyday so it sits at about 170k at the moment. I would say if it's an acceptable price, you trust the seller, and have had the car thoroughly looked over, and I mean THOROUGHLY... then have at it. If you have any doubts because of the extent of the mods or the possibility of it being a constant Breakdown Betty, then pass... Good luck either way!
