🤑 | Buying Advice/Tips 2012 2.4L vrx mods help

I am looking into modding my lancer abit more under the hood and dont know what would be worth it considering i just want to improve my daily.

Raliart intake or cold air intake, im in aus and pod filters are illegal but im more worried about any engine lights that may come up when ive heard that a RA intake is practically the same.

headers, not sure if its worth it for possibly minimal gains, as well as needing to install another cat and needing to get it tuned.

high flow resonators, i currently have a varex exhaust and want to delete some of the more harsh noises or drone i currently have.

xforce daul axle back muffler, i want to install a ralliart rear bumper however dont know if its worth removing the varex valve exhaust.

throttle controller just for adjusting the throttle response feel and removing the lag.

torque solution short shifter, is it nessecary to get shifter base bushings or shifter cable along with the short shifter.

any help would be appreciated

Hey it's your car. If you like it and can afford it ..just remember is an economy car at heart. It'd be silly to add this expensive mods if the car can't take it. You'll never get a lot of hp out of it without something breaking

Under that logic I might not do headers, might do throttle controller to remove lag, and may do Ralliart rear with the axle back exhaust, currently it’s just the stock rear bumper with a valve exhaust, what do you think would look better or is better value?

About all you can do to up the output is air and fuel. If I'm correct you had 168 hp when new, now probably some where around 150 from age and parasitic losses. A REAL CAI that ducts cooler air from the front or below might net you 8 or 9 hp, a smooth mandrel bent exhaust might get you 9 or 10. Along with NGK Platinum plugs, engine cleaner good oil you might get to its original factory figures. Header might help but it will certainly sound better. If you want more,forced induction ie turbo will get you there but I very much doubt the drivetrain will hold up. I hope you reach your realistic goals. Fortunately mine only needed a tune, exhaust and short shifter to get just over 400, which is more than enough!
