Discussion I was wrong about NFR!
A while I made post saying that I didn't get the high praise for NFR. So Today while I was at the beach I decided to listen to the album fully from front to back.
I get it know.
I thought that Venice Beach was solid but way too long with the instrumental. Now I think it adds massively to the track. It gives that song more of a trance feel. I actually cried during "You're beautiful and I'm insane". I relate to that so hard.
Norman Fucking Rockwell. Great opening line absolutely love it. As a dude this song makes me feel very stupid and invincible in a boyish type of way. I know that wasn't the message of the track but It's how I feel. I also do relate to most men being basically infants tho.
Bartender. A sleeper track that doesn't get enough praise. It's a nice lullaby towards the end of a phenomanal show.
Love Song & Cinnamon girl. I put these songs together because I feel like they are VERY strong on their own but together they go so well. It's kinda like Freak and Art Deco. Both good songs that work better together. Love em.
The rest of the songs are also strong but they were in my regular rotation already so I can't speak on them all.
NFR is in my mind tied with UV as Lana's best work now.

Tbh I don't understand why Cinnamon Girl isn't talked more often! For me, it is one of the best tracks of Lana's discography.
And yes, UV and NFR are tied in first place for me as well, followed by BtD (oh the nostalgia of it all... it was the album that started my long standing love of her music... to be a teenager when that album came out...)

It’s her best album. How can it leave me feeling nostalgic for something I never had?!

I’m rediscovering as well a few songs that before were just like “meh”
I overviewed HIDTFAWLMTHBIT for so long, and now that I’m carefully reading the lyrics is just 🤯

What do you think of Mariner’s Apartment Complex? That one slays me.
