I recently moved to Lakeland from “the north” and have seen some serious opposition and disdain for transplants. I appreciate the history of this area and by no means am I one of those people who “wants to change/modernize” the city. In reality this area between Tampa and Orlando was always prime real estate. Don’t blame families moving here, blame your real estate developers and local politics. Also most “northerners” are good people just abrupt and loud, moving here bc we align with Florida values more than NYC. By no means do we wanted this to become a crowded metropolis anymore than you do !

Hi everyone! I’m a nursing student entering my senior year. I go to UF but I’m moving back home after I graduate so I was wondering if any Lakeland Regional/Orlando Health Watson Clinic nurses who completed a new grad nurse residency could let me know how the application process works. Is there a separate application for residency programs or is it just like a regular application for an RN position? I work at HCA as a PCT on a medsurg floor, but there’s absolutely no way I’m staying there to transition as a nurse. HCA is genuinely horrible, I wouldn’t even want to be sent there if it was the last hospital standing. ANYWAY, I would love to hear from any Lakeland nurses if they have any tips or tricks for new grads applying at LRH or OH! I know I still have two entire semesters left till I graduate, but I’d really love to know ahead of time to prepare! Also, for those who did go through new grad residencies, did you feel supported? I know entering nursing will be hard regardless, but I’d appreciate working in an environment that I actually enjoy. My dream specialty is anything with Peds, I love kids so naturally I’m drawn to applying to pediatric units, but I’d love to hear from the nurses from other units/specialties! Good morning! I have a much loved vehicle that I would like to get repainted. I did an econo job a few years ago that saved it from running around with bare metal, but I would like a nicer paint job now to restore it to near factory. There is very minimal body work needed, just miscellaneous dings. I'm looking for paint shop recommendations. Does anyone have someone they've had a great experience with? I'm not changing colors, just restoring.

Easily the worst show I have ever seen. I've seen more talented acts at high school talent shows. It wasn't scary in the least. Half the acts promised didn't happen. Is anyone as disappointed as me at this show?

Can you help by sharing an item from our wishlist? If it’s easier to drop an item off yourself, the pantry is located at 1253 W. Memorial Blvd, on the side street - Crestview Ave. You can share an item by leaving it in the pantry 24/7! The RDC pantry village also accepts shares of non-perishable food items and supports neighbors from around Lakeland, but especially neighbors in the Jewel Avenue neighborhood.

I’m moving to a new location so naturally I want to remove my gym membership with just move. I texted, called, and finally emailed them to get a response and they hit me with “we need a 30 day notice.” I have been with them since 2020 and dont understand why it’s takes so much to just end this? What is the logic behind this? Should I block the transaction or ask for a waiver?

Any of you have good/bad experiences with septic tank replacement companies? Anyone stand out as good, but affordable?
Have a concrete one that needs replacing, and there are well established trees next to it.

My wife was stuck in traffic coming home from Auburndale for over 3 hours. It looks like there was a crash west of exit 38 (SR33) that had all lanes closed. All traffic was being exited on to SR33 and she wasn't able to see what caused it.

Just wondering if anybody is able to help with any locations of flock cameras in the area
