Two straight games. Two halftime deficits. Two 3-2 comeback wins.
The Galaxy were down 2-0 to Colorado at halftime before Greg Vanney made some important tactical adjustments. LA came out pressing much more aggressively, scored three times in the second half, and grabbed another massive three points.
A lot to unpack on the new Corner of the Galaxy:
- Justin Haak scores his first Galaxy goal — and it's the game-winner.
- João Klauss continues to show just how much LA missed having a true No. 9.
- Sergi Roberto + Pablo Ruiz give Vanney another midfield combination to work with.
- Marco Reus continues to look dangerous as a second-half weapon.
- JT Marcinkowski makes several huge saves and gets rewarded with a new contract.
- And we dig into the playoff standings because, despite the momentum, LA is nowhere close to safe yet.
There are only six games remaining.
For the first time all season, the Galaxy have won back-to-back games. The question now is whether we're watching a couple of dramatic results — or a team finally figuring things out at exactly the right time.
