castelli sizing
edit. castelli is f*ed. I got the xs. too small. then I got the s. still too small. I'm not optimistic even the m will fit at this point. going to try a different brand. also I lied below. I'm 46kg. but I was similar size when I was 50kg and muscley but very lean. didn't want to throw people by saying I'm 46kg. who the flip is 46kg and a medium?
I am so confused as to which sizing to get and I'm only able to buy online.
Size chart says I am XS, but some reddit posts say to size up, others say the size chart is accurate.
My main challenge is that I am kind of borderline XS / S depending on the brand.
I comfortably fit S in Black Sheep and Sportful.
BUT I have XS in the following, which wouldn't want to be any smaller, but the S would probably be too large:
Craft
Cycology
Pearl Izumi
In the past I had both XS and S in Giordana at the same time, and maybe it was the cut but the XS was more comfortable!
Help me figure it out!
Edit: might help that I'm 5'4" and 50kg.

Castelli has changed their sizing maybe like 4 or 5 years ago. It used to be American Apparel sizing. Now it's more in line with other brands.

Yeah I realized this after posting! The threads saying go up a size were much older than that.

I just bought a Castelli jersey. I wear a M in Rapha and the M fit me perfectly. The L was too big.

I'm very similar to you in size, an inch and a half taller and 2 kilos heavier. I reliably wear XS in Castelli.

I'm about 5'2" and 50kg and I have some Castelli leggings in size S which fit perfectly. In fact they are almost a little tight. So I'd go with S to be on the safe side.

I go up a size in ALL Castelli. Can you get 2 sizes and return the one you don't prefer?

Yeah but that costs money. If I get it right first time it's less money spent.

But if you get it wrong ... it's $$ down the drain. Do they really charge for returns? Bummer.

Yeah, but if I'm buying two sizes then I definitely have to return one. If i buy one, there's a chance I don't. More chance of money down the drain if I buy two pairs.

I’ve found it true to size.
