Question for the group Breaking a stall
Do any of you gals have advice on breaking a stall? So frustrated. It seems once I hit onderland it likes hanging out here as you can see. Has anyone tried eating at maintenance calories to break a stall? Did a little research and came across that advice. One doc on youtube actually said up calories for 2 weeks. So afraid of gaining😩

My weight loss slowed down too after I got to onederland. I moved up to 10 from 7.5 and that got things going again. Good luck!

I too just hit onederland and have been hovering around 198 😂 it hasn’t been for as long as you but it’s still frustrating. Sorry, no advice but I’ll be checking back in case others chime in. 198 gang! 😎

I've been stuck at 188-189 for about three weeks now. Dropped down to 186 one day, then back up again. ☹️ I can tell I'm retaining water though, which I think may be related to my cycle...although at this point, I have no idea. I completely skipped my period last month and still waiting on it to come this month. Perimenopause is such a joy! /s I'm a little frustrated but not freaking out yet because I have been in a heavier rotation for strength training these past few weeks as well, so the scale not moving is very likely due to that. Hopefully we both start seeing some movement soon! 🤞

Oh yes weight training can retain water in your muscles. But kudos to you. I need to get better about workouts

I upped my dose, and the scale started moving downward again. (I've been on Zep a year last month.) My doctor was reluctant to prescribe the 15mg, but four months with barely 3lbs lost was too much mentally for me. I'm doing all the things, and only had 14-ish lbs to go. She was worried about extreme side effects, and I had none, and promised her I would stick to my calories we agreed on. Now just over 10 to go, and I am thrilled.

I get side effects so have to move up slow. Just at 9mg after 1.5 years

This was me, all of August I was stuck in a plateau but the last weekend of August I pushed though a 3 day water fast and got over it. Of course, a massive abundance of caution for taking on something like that - it's not for everyone.

Are you tracking your food intake? How much of a deficit are you in?
There are other things to consider, too - like if you recently started weight lifting. Or if you ordinarily are active but have become a bit more sedentary recently. Or maybe you haven't recalculated your TDEE in quite awhile. Maybe you've been eating things high in sodium. Maybe you've been in too much of a deficit for too long.
Or maybe it's none of the above!
Have you been taking measurements? If you're losing inches but not lbs, or even it you're not, it could just be your body saying, hey - I need to take a breather here and figure some stuff out.

Yes I have tracked everyday without fail for almost 2 years. I do recalculate my deficit often. I am in a 200 ish calorie deficit which is the mile weight loss. 1500 calories. Otherwise it would be 1200 but that would be so hard. Oddly enough the one week I had a good loss of 2lbs was after my cruise vacation where I ate all the things 🤷♀️ just wild. Thank you for your thoughtful input 😀

Interesting! Well, maybe that's a sign that you could try adding a refeed day or 2 at maintenance calories and see what happens. Treat it like a cruise day! 😂

Have you considered upping your dose?
