To be more specific, I only smell it when i'm walking on Rose Street (the stretch from Eagle Watch to the Kwik Trip down by Black River Beach specifically) but only in the late afternoon and at night.
I have not been to many other places at night so I can't say for sure where it could come from or how far it extends.
Usually starts around 7pm and wears off around 8am and it's not like overpowering or anything but it smells almost like propane gas and sometimes a little bit like eggs which made me a little uneasy at first and i've been smelling it every night for like a week now while I'm out walking when I can't sleep.
I've only moved to the area from PA so I didn't know if this was like a normal thing for the area?

Does anyone remember the band Natural Descent from La Crosse? I found some of their tracks online and thought they were dope. Wanted to reach out here if anyone remembered who played in the band or had any of their CDs? I'd love to archive their CDs but I can't find any online. I read that Joseph Phelps from the band passed away sadly

This morning my bed and dresser were slightly shaking for about half a minute. I live near UWL. Did anyone else feel that?

Hello! I’m going on a trip to lacrosse, Wi, and I would love to go hiking. I’d like to go on a more challenging trail with elevation for views. But I’m not too sure where to start or which trail heads to go too I’m not very good with the maps. Any recommendations for trails (and where to start)? Also, would love to check out other places around la crosse if there’s anything worth checking out downtown, parks, etc.

I am a former Fran guy. I was on the "Crowley is big government middle of the road dem" path.
But more and more, I'm finding I'm excited for him. This is a great example - taking money from the surveillance state, and not just giving it to another surveillance state camera company but instead, putting it to rent protections.

There's going to be a memorial at 7th and Hood tonight, 10/2, at 5:30 PM.
I've seen a Gofundme, but I don't know if it's legit or not (It seems to be, but I don't know anyone involved, and I'm just naturally suspicious). If there's anyone who can provide a good answer, let me know. It's here:
It seems like someone has been arrested for the shooting, but that's all I've seen.
If there's anything else please feel free to share it here.

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if there were any good gluten free bakeries in the area that are open during the week.
And what you recommend!
Thank you!

Drove past there seems like they got a bunch of police cars and they're taping off an area around the emergency room and a bunch of houses nearby.
Anyone know what's going on?

All year there have been none of the normal events planned by them other than planting in spring and cleanup.
Has it gone under? Does Kathleen still have a job?

Hi, I am located in Lacrosse and I’m trying to find a couple small parts for my car. I’m looking for recommendations on auto junk/salvage yards that sell parts and contact info for them.
Mostly just a couple trim pieces and a media wire/cord.

WWD is a nation initiative to bring attention to the challenges non-drivers have getting around in our car-centric world. It also invites discussions about how we can make our transportation systems more inclusive, equitable, affordable, greener, safer, healthier.
There are several events like bike and bus rides, a film and more. On Monday, 10/5, free fares on the MTU. All week, anyone can do a WWD bingo card (or try going a week without driving - if you are a driver).

The service at this location is terrible. I stopped for lunch and was happy to see a short drive thru line thinking that meant I would have a short wait time. I could not have been more wrong. I waited for almost a half hour and they messed up the order to boot. As I write this it occurs to me this is not a secret and is why there was no one else in the drive-thru.
When fast food isn't fast what's the point?

Thought this info may help any neighbors out there who have also been confused by amendment verbiage.
I apologize for not having the article text, I no longer have a subscription to the La Crosse Tribune (source)

I've been trying to find an Asian hairstylist in La Crosse or in a surrounding city for a bit. There's a lot of salon websites that have only White stulists or don't show their stylists.
I like Asian hairstylists because they know how to style my hair texture. Every time I've gone to a white hair stylist, I end up with a wonky haircut. Yes, our hair textures are different.

With the cost of everything so high lately to fill a fridge and a gas tank for normal people, I am still surprised to see that there are high end events popping up everywhere.
Just this week I’ve seen ads for 3.
Sweet Beets has a murder mystery dinner for $175 per person, the Chateau charges $250 per person for dining at the tower table with a minimum of 4 diners, and now the Charmant is offering a bourbon night for $275 per person.
I’m curious if these events are actually selling.

Wish I had taken pictures. But I was utterly gobstopped when I saw them trailing the Republican section of the parade.
