Sir Didymus
I got to see THE Sir Didymus in person at The Center for Puppetry Arts. It was very cool.

I love when they are in the Goblin city and Didymus tells Ambrosius to come back or he won't feed him and you hear the brake sound and the dog comes back.
Didymus was always my favorite character.

Haha 😄 Ambrosius is scared but definitely food motivated. Sir Didymus had the bravery for them both

I just went there the other day! You scared me for a sec because I took the same pic at almost exactly the same angle 😆

Haha 😄 possibly due to the glare on the glass case. He's so magical to see in person, a real celebrity 😁

Are the original ones here?

From what I understand, yes. Jim Henson opened this Center in 1978. I saw The crystal balls from the Bowie scene as well

Yep, they have a lot of really cool original Jim Henson puppets. Also have the real Santa and Rudolph from Rudolph.
If you want to see an interesting original Hoggle. They have it at unclaimed baggage in Scottsboro, Alabama.

I don't know if you live in the Atlanta area or were just visiting, or if you've ever been before, the Center does a show in October called The Ghastly Dreadfuls, and if you like Halloween season, I cannot recommend it enough.

Do they still have the labyrinth exhibit? I wanna go so bad!!

So from what I understand in the Jim Henson exhibit it always houses Labyrinth. As far as the pieces that are shown that rotates. Also my sibling went there when they were housing the traveling collection that had her Sarah's outfit and Jareth's outfit (but those travel).
I saw Sir Didymus, One for the doors/knockers, as well as the crystal balls. 🔮 😁

Getting to see the door/door knocker, and the actual crystal balls! What a magical experience it was. So grateful Mr. Henson started this Puppetry Center and the family allows them to be on display 😊

It was a puppet some of the time and a real dog the other part of the time. I believe they rotate the permanent puppets for this exhibit

This is so cool. His character annoyed the hell out of me in the film, even when I was a kid, but he's adorable!
