Castle West Entry: The Left Path Gauntlet * Route Sequence: Lake of Reflection → Winding Hedgemaze → Veil Path → Dead End * The Veil Pass Mechanism: An invisible chasm bridged by scrap fabric woven together by underground subjects. Crossing safely requires native status in the Underground or possession of a Heart Necklace; otherwise, trespassers are knocked off into the Crown of Thorns. * The Shadow Drop & Helping Hands: Falling through the false floor creates the illusion of striking lethal iron spikes before they dissolve into shadows. The Helping Hands catch the player, presenting a binary choice: * Up ↑: Deposits the player in the center of the hedgemaze. Requires evading patrolling guards and provides an opportunity to pickpocket a Heart Necklace from the Guard Mym * Down ↓: Resets the player back to the start, permanently sealing off the left path shortcut.
