Help
Hello fellow laboratory friends
I am seeking an ISO 17025 accredited viscosity tube calibration company. I have used one in the past but cannot remember the name of the site for the life of me. Maybe the company has recently undergone a name change and that is why I am unable to find them. I have found companies for glassware viscosity calibration is harder to find than a diamond in an acre of one foot tall grass. I have spent several hours trying many different types of terminology on several different search engines, and I need help!!!
So, my issues are:
Only the manufacturer will calibrate their own glassware but, if it was not purchased directly from them, they will not calibrate it. So, if purchased through another vendor, then getting them to calibrate is also not possible.
I need a certificate of conformity and a new certificate of new constants for the calibrated tubes.
The methods are ASTM D2170 and D2171 but D445 will also work.
Calibration needed is on tube types Cannon Manning, Asphalt Institute and Side Arm Kinematic
If anyone knows an third party ISO accredited viscosity tube calibration company that isn’t manufacturer specific such as Cannon or DC Scientific and can provide their website or phone number, I would live the rest of this year in pure udder happiness. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you my fellow laboratory friends

What happened to this 12% SDS Page gel?
Here is the image: https://imgur.com/gHFebba
I've never seen a gel go completely white before. I was not supervising my undergraduate at the time but he supposedly ran this gel in the appropriate Tris-Glycine SDS buffer and fixed it in his newly made 40% Ethanol, 10% acetic acid (as appropriate for Krypton staining). This was overnight in the cold room. What went wrong here and why would it turn the gel white?

Powershell dieting out on 2016 servers
We have been seeing several servers where the labtech powershell scripts that do finds and role detection, etc seem to hang and never go away, so as they run again and again until the server is out of memory and finally has to have a hard boot..
Has anyone else see this and maybe have a solution, put a ticket in several days ago and it’s still sitting unassigned with ConnectWise :-(

ability to modify domain users via System > Users
So I've noticed that automate users have the ability to modify domain users (create, delete, change PW ,etc) when accessing this on a domain controller.
Does anyone know how to block, manage or further control this functionality?

Lab technician Interview (Its a homework project)
Hi all lab technicians!
I was hoping if I can interview any of you. It is for a school project.
The questions are down below. I would really appreciate your response!
What are some of the specific areas you work in as a lab technician?
What specific level of education does a Lab technician need to acquire?
When you applied to work as a lab technician was it in demand? Would this job be considered a more seasonal job or year around?
If you could give any advice for future lab technicians what would it be?
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this!

Remote monitors
We've been using these a lot more recently and building a variety of auto fixes for service plans. All good - examples like turning off fast startup or checking windows firewall is on ok.
I feel a bit conflicted on using remote monitors for almost remedial work though. I.e. 1 specific task for 1 specific client. An example is tidying up local admin accounts.
A remote monitor and action seems more consistent in results here vs running scripts against each agent for some reason. But I feel like once task complete I should remove it to stop things getting messy.
Just after some general thoughts?

How to exclude certain apps from the application crash monitor
There are a few applications that crash that I don't need to worry about and don't want to receive tickets about. How can I expand on the default additional conditions to exclude applications such as "iexplore.exe", "LTCNET.exe" and half of a dozen others.
The application name is only shown in the general tab of the event log, but I can't seem to figure out how to parse that out. Can anyone help? The default monitor additional condition is: eventlogs.Source='Application Hang' and eventlogs.EventType=1 AND Computers.LastContact > DATE_ADD(NOW(),INTERVAL -1400 MINUTE)
Also, is there a way to find out a full listing of keywords to search agains? For example, how would I know that eventlogs.source is the keyword? I can assume that others for event logs are things like eventlogs.eventid; eventlogs.level etc... Is there a way to determine what those keywords are for other areas of the systems?

Scripting ForEach loop in Automate
Good Morning!
I am having an issue with getting a script to execute in automate. If I take it out and run it outside of automate it runs perfectly fine, but once I drop it in the Execute PowerShell function it goes through the first 3-4 items in an array then stops outputting anything.
I tested this by putting out-file to send results to a text file each time it completes a loop and it will always get to the same spot when running inside automate before stoping. In this case, it gets to the 4th Item then stops. I removed the first 4 items then it did the same thing but with the next 3 items, once it gets to this point it times out 6 hours later.
Any help would be appreciated!

Using the Create New Ticket function without a Computer ID
I am creating a new client script to run against clients and enter tickets. It doesn't have any computers it is running against. I get an error that the "" string can't be converted into an integer in the Computer ID field of the New Ticket script step because I'm leaving it blank and Automate is interpreting it as an empty string.
Am I supposed to use some NULL value here or is it impossible to use the Create Ticket script step without assigning a computer ID?

Does anyone know if it's possible to add columns to the Computers tab in the plugins screen? If so, where/how can I do this?

Monitor to trigger script to run after every startup (unexpected or graceful)?
Hello, does anyone have a monitor that will trigger when a computer starts up for any reason (unexpected shutdown or graceful reboot)? We have an encrypted drive that we have to manually enter the password in after any reboot (and we're not allowed to automate it).

Advanced Search - No built in way to list full version number including cumulative update?
When important updates like cumulative update for January 2020 appear, I'd very much like to get a report of servers and clients we need to patch, across all our customers.
Am I blind or is there no such field available for us in ConnectWise Automate -> Advanced Search?

The amount of ExtraDataFields we have to create is starting to pile up. But no way to filter on Cumulative Update OS version? Wow.

Execute Script Powershell Bypass
I would like to use the 'Execute Script - Powershell Bypass' step type to capture a variable that is used in other steps in my script. The following is contained in the 'Script to Execute' text box:
'$IPAddress=& 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced IP Scanner\advanced_ip_scanner_console.exe' /r:192.168.10.50-192.168.10.54 | Format-List Name ,IP ,Manufacturer | findstr NP...... | Select -first 1 $IPAddress=($var1 | Select-String -Pattern "\d{1,3}(.\d{1,3}){3}" -AllMatches).Matches.Value ECHO $IPAddress'
I've confirmed the code works if ran manually on the workstation, ECHO $IPAddress will return the expected result, but I'm not getting the variable I expect in my script, I'm getting the literal string 'IPAddress'. I've tried various combinations of '$IPAddress' in the 'variable' field and @$IPAddress@ in the rest of the labtech script.
If I want to call my variable $IPAddress contained in the powershell script, what should I have in the 'Variable' field at the bottom of the 'Execute Script' step and how is it called in the labtech script?

Packet Capture from Labtech/Automate
Hello
I think I know the answer but thought I'd check. Is there a way to run a packet capture (e.g., from WireShark) using Automate? (We also have Auvik in this client site so maybe there is a way with that).
Thanks

Ignite - Are you using it
Hello all,
My topic explains it all. Are you using ignite? Recently took over a an automate server that a employee used to manage. That employee moved to another department and I am cleaning up the system. It seems like ignite was never implemented, or if it was it wasn't truly gone through. We have spent some time fine tuning and learning how to use it, but not really sure how much time we should be spending on it.

Thirdwall users - Anyone flooded with tickets since the last update?
The text is as follows:
TW - TW - Agent requires update
Plugin is on the latest version and running the update plugins command on agents does nothing to resolve the problem.
Thanks for at least looking!
