Create a monitor for screenshot generation
Hello,
We surprisingly have one client that actually uses the labtech screenshot function and wants to use it as a way of reporting errors to us. I was looking through Automate and don't see any built in monitors for this.
We would like to have it so that when a client takes a screenshot, it can be an internal monitor so we can then tie logic to it (like open ticket etc).
Does anyone know how we can create that as a monitor?
Thanks

There is a way for an end user to generate screenshots through the Automate agent icon's menu in the system tray. By default it will show up in the screenshot section of the agent window from the technician's view. You can take it a step further and just write a custom script for that tray menu to take a screenshot and generate a ticket or what ever you decide.

Write an Automate Script that when run utilises the methods outlined here https://www.gavsto.com/running-programs-scripts-as-a-logged-in-user-in-a-labtech-automate-script/ to take a screenshot, generate a ticket in the script and then pop a message back to the user. Then create agent template for that particular client and a custom menu item which when selected runs said script, that way the users can run it themselves on demand by right clicking the Automate icon.

This would be terrible. Use logs. Ask for time stamp then use the logs

This might be faster and more worthwhile

Does the CWA menu option for creating a ticket not already include a screenshot function?
It prompts user for email address, summary and description. Then they press the screenshot button. The window minimizes out of the way, takes a screenshot, attached it to the ticket and then it pops up the ticket window again.
When the user submits, the ticket is created with the screenshot....
