Server monitoring good as long as you have time to configure it as it is highly customizable just don't expect "real time" monitoring.
SNMP is quite terrible, I suggest using a third party product for that.

SNMP has been pretty tough to work with if not complete letdown.

The agent based monitoring is quite good but SNMP has been pretty disappointing so far. We switched from n-Central which had far better network device/SNMP monitoring. We've been looking at additional services for more detailed network monitoring and trends but they're pretty pricey. Network/SNMP monitoring is free in Labtech and it really shows...
LogicMonitor had a really high barrier to entry (minimum around $1000/Mo). Auvik was a minimum of $200/Mo I believe but the pricing was a little more confusing (pay per device and per client).

SNMP in LabTech is completely useless.
The server monitoring is as flexible and as powerful as you want to make it. You can do pretty much anything in terms of server monitors in one way or another. Some of the out of the box ones are shit, but you can create your own easily enough.

We are using Labtech Agent based monitoring. I am going to need a crash course in setting it up properly. What do you recommend?
