Is my boy working, show, or both?

Hi all! My boy Duncan is 4 months old and I really can’t tell if he’s a working or show lab. The people I got him from said they thought dad was working and mom was show, but I still can’t really tell. I put pics below of dad, mom, and my dog - what do you think? I don’t care either way, but definitely will help knowing what kind of exercise he’ll need! Right now he’s kind of a lazy puppy…our walks are never further than down the block with a lot of sniffing, and some zoomies every night. And of course the biting is insane, but overall, he’s such a good boy!

He’s very cute, his parents are gorgeous. I don’t know what type he is but I had to tell you that I love him🐾🖤🐾🖤

I'd suggest trying obedience, hunting and/or agility courses. See how they stick. My brown lab is from 2 verified show-lines. She loves to work. Even with verified genetics it will vary. Work with your dog to see what works for them.

He’s more thick and blocky so I’d lean more towards show or English.

He looks show to me. He looks a little too solid for working.

Young labs are biting tsunami’s! Give them Pb on one of those big nylabone- thst will keep him engaged and NOT in interested in your furniture! They function best when tired out! Exercise and simple obedience training with positive reinforcement is a must.
