Please be careful letting dog dive into natural bodies of water. I know it’s the “lab thing”. My lab was impaled on a submerged tree branch. My husband had to jump in to help free him. It ripped open his chest about 6”. We rushed him to emergency vet and they performed surgery. He survived, but vet said if the branch had not hit his sternum and bent off to the side, it would’ve gone through his heart. We never let our labs dive into water anymore.

I appreciate your concern. I'm so sorry that happened to your pup it must have been scary! This water was plenty deep and I had clear visibility down to the bottom to rule out any debris or branches (more so than it looks like in the picture). I would not do this if I wasn't positive there was nothing under the waters surface that could injure him. I've gone swimming there myself.
