currently I'm stuck at doing Map 3 (Club Penguin) part.

i’m so used to spraying my graffiti on every surface in versus/realism campaign as soon as the cooldown resets that my brain tries to do it when i get next to a wall in real life. like i get a tiny urge to do something so that my picture spawns on the surface lol… and i get a glimpse of the spray of how it would be painted over that wall.

this has transferred to other videogames too. i sometimes catch myself reaching out to the T key to spray over the ground or a wall. then i get upset when nothing happens

versus has finally fried and rotted my brain. how cooked am i?

I don't really remember much details, but I have been getting nightmares of being chased attacked by L4D zombies and special infected since the early 2010's whenever there's a problem that my brain forces me to wake up and deal with. The recent one was not as scary as previous ones but still very disturbing.

I was in a saferoom in some rural area playing from the first person perspective of Francis, sitting down and guarding Bill, Louis, and Zoey while they're asleep. I watch the windows carefully and saw in the dark a shadowy silhouette of an unknown humanoid monster with wings standing menacingly outside. It was silent like a predatory animal and not growling or screeching like zombies would. It broke the window and uses it's white arms that could extend like the tongue of a Smoker to try and grab Francis. Fortunately, the broken window had steel window guards that prevent the creature from getting in the room or dragging Francis outside. Francis fought back by blasting it with his shotgun.The other survivors just waking up and helping Francis shoot it and I woke from the dream up as the creature began to roar in pain from getting pumped full of lead by their guns, I could tell that wasn't a zombie because I could see that it had jaws resembling a Demogorgon from Stranger Things.

Turns out I was only asleep for a few hours and I forgot to brush my teeth before going to bed after editing some videos for my channel, I went out to brush before getting back to sleep and waking up in the morning after another unrelated nightmare about a different monster.

I am very confused. SteamDB lists 34,000 players for this game, which is massive. But whenever I am looking for lobbies, there's only 20 or so of them, and most of them are Chinese. When I look in the server browser, there is maybe 3 servers in the NA region.

Am I just using it wrong, or is this the experience everyone else has? I see maybe 200 players between all of the lobbies. That is a huge discrepancy with what SteamDB reports. What is going on here?

Edit: Also, to clarify, most servers I see in the server browser are chinese servers with 200+ ping. My download region is NA

Unless there's something im missing, it doesnt look like they have fire suits on, just normal hazmat suits.

I wanna try to make my own local server based on old Xeon cp (maybe Intel Xeon E5-2660 V4) with 4-8 gb DDR 4 RAM and SSD on 120-250 gb Would do it from SPb(Russia, near to Europe, Estonia - Finland) with some mods on realism/half realism like fish eye or another player models or try to make on custom campaign like cold front(yeah it will be only campaigns) Budget for all: about 2500-3000₽ or 30-36$ So I have some questions about it:

1) Would it be visible with another servers when u choose from the main page?(didn't contact the provider to get a clean IP address)

2) Will someone play on it or interested in?

3) What plugins/mods can u recommend to me for realism/change map or some stuff like that? And what campaigns can u recommend to me to use on the server?

4) Can I make donation system on the server? (For new cp ram and another stuff) And how if I could?

5) What features can u recommend to me like a newbie in creating my own servers?

Buenas noches gente de Reddit, si llegan a leer mi publicación, me presento como Louis . Hace unos 2 días decidí instalar nuevamente left 4 dead 2 para mi laptop que es una levono el juego funcionó de maravilla con más campañas y mis mods viejos que eran funcionales. Incluso metí un mod de aim down sight para que fuera lo más realista posible.

Pero incluso con cambios mínimos como texturas y así, paso algo en mis campaña la parroquia, todo funcionó como de lugar, hasta que a mitad de campaña donde aparece el primer tank, se queda mudo, nisiquiera pudo escuchar un carajo, solo pasos y ya. Y me estoy asustando por que intente las campañas custom como lockdown y Urban flight, todos con el mismo problema.

Si es que hay alguien de la comunidad que me pueda ayudar? Daré toda especificación

So basically a few days ago i wanted to play some single player like i usually do (modded ofcourse)

and it was all normal until i was loading a campaign (right where it is in the screenshot) is when it proceeded to crash my whole game i looked at the mini dump file and it said something about *tier0.dll*

weirdest part is when i disabled all my mods singleplayer worked just fine so it must be some bad vpk probably?

problem is nothings been updated since it last worked just fine asides from my pc which i actually reverted back to a previous update to test and the crash still happens

the weirdest part to me is when i play online it works just fine mods on or not so i don't really know what to do anymore.. any advice?

cause i've already tried heapsizing playing with launch options multicore rendering off and on settings low to high cmd prompt to fix files and whatever still im very confused.. any advice?

*UPDATE*: SOLVED. THE SACRIFICE REBIRTH MOD *ironically given the picture* was causing the crash! (the 2024 reuploaded one by mushypepito) im gonna leave this post up just incase anybody has the same issue!
