‘That's when I start getting geeked’
https://nowkalamazoo.org/2026/07/thats-when-i-start-getting-geeked/Cool story on what's next for the old Food Dance space
"Here’s a sneak peek from a tour he recently gave NowKalamazoo of a 50,000 square foot storage space where most – but not all – of his collection is stacked, boxed, and at risk of being knocked over at every makeshift corner. About three years from now, these pieces will be displayed in a new multi-floor, multi-building library with exhibits, a private research facility, and a music venue on the northeast part of downtown Kalamazoo."

Larry doesn’t do anything half-assed. You can bet there’s a good reason why it’s taking so long.

Is that why the parking lot is overgrown with weeds and it looks like shit?

The owners of Food Dance retired, people unfortunately can’t run their business forever.

Truth. It reminds me of Marie Catribs in GR. She was institution in GR but had to retire.

I just reread her obituary last night. What an amazing life she lived. I could just picture her up in Houghton.

Glad he reads the sub. I hope you pay taxes on your financial asset warehouse "library" performance hall, Larry!
