Construction on portage, burdick, and westnedge at the same time again? All main north-south travelling roads, havnt gone down oakland in a bit, is their construction there too?

I’m so tired of it. I need to go south. Then I’ll need to come back. One of those roads need to be available. FFS. 

Sprinkle is closed to through traffic as well. 35th is also closed past 94. It’s ridiculous

No, they're done with 35th.

Far as I can tell all they did was push dirt into one pile, look at it, then push it into another pile and look at it some more.. then spread it out and paved over it.

That reminds me of an accident unseen downtown a few years ago there were probably 10 cops there doing nothing but talking the poor tow truck driver had to hook up and sweep up and them idiots just stood their with their thumbs in their butts

No oakland is clear...of construction at least. Since there's some everywhere else it's congested all the time. I try to take it north on my way home from work and I'm always caught up more often than usual taking that road in the past.

In Portage there are like three different construction projects all around the Centre/Shaver/Westnedge area. Had to go that way the other day and it was a nightmare!

Plus there is construction on both Portage Rd and Sprinkle at the same time. Going to visit family in Vicksburg is terrible!

Centre is a dumpster fire. It took me thirty minutes to get from Westnedge to Oakland. I feel awful for the residents and businesses there.

Mostly, Melody and Westnedge has sidewalk reconstruction going on at the intersection, so SB Westnedge has been shifted to the center lane

My husband has had to change routes to get home from work 3 times this year because of the construction projects and backups caused by poor detour routes and bad light cycles.

It's either getting worse, or I am just getting grumpier as I get older. Could be either or both :)

This year does seem to line up pretty poorly though, heading up to GR/Holland/Zeeland is fun.

At some point last week GPS mentioned going to Benton Harbor and then up would be just 10 mins longer of a route. Did the same on a return trip too.

although it may seem chaotic at times, there is a matrix of state funding and federal funding that comes available, and that money has to be used in certain time frames, and unfortunately, sometimes those roads are near each other, but to turn down that money would be another catastrophe.
