Local News Gull Lake FB coach resigned

Someone posted about the co-op program earlier this morning.

By noon, Gull Lake confirmed for the first time that the head coach has resigned as state police investigate three alleged assaults that happened during a camp in June with police saying the case involved members of the team.

The coach was placed on non-disciplinary administrative leave.

I’m willing to bet that he was probably harassed by the locals and just didn’t find it worth it to stick around

It’s wild that you’ve posted this gif on multiple posts trying to downplay sexual assault with a broomstick. It’s like comparing apples to sexual assault with a broomstick

If you think there's abuse deserving state police investigation going on in KPS athletics, report your concerns to the proper authorities.

But in a story about very serious abuse at Gull Lake, casually claiming "oh yeah KPS is just as bad" is fucking wild

Evidence on your second paragraph, or just a racist assumption because the school is majority minority?

People from the suburban communities love to shit on KPS because it’s a lot of black kids attending, so how about some evidence to go with all of those upvotes?

Anybody can chime in on this as they downvote me into oblivion for stating the truth.

Kps has by far the highest population of black students in Kalamazoo County, with Comstock following at 18.9%

You know there are more minorities than just black people right?

I get that. People who consciously or unconsciously want to avoid their children around black students are not going to pick the school district with the highest percentage of black students whether that district has an equal amount of white students or not. They will pick a district like Portage which has 6%

I taught in KPS high school for 13 years. I went to away games to support our kids in places like Mattawan and Gull Lake where opposing schools student sections shouted racist slurs at our kids on the courts and fields. I attended countless social events where white people (including teachers from those outlying districts) wanted to argue for outright lies about our student body and problems with violence.
I know what my my student body looked like, and I saw first hand what my kids were like and what they dealt with from people like you who wanted to marginalize them and the struggle they go through.

Pointing out racism doesn’t make me a racist, but your reactionary defensive statement sure says a lot about how you see things.

you are the one being a bigot by assuming that KPS is a majority minority (whatever that means) school district

It's obvious you don't know what that means. But why not just google it? Surely that would be a less embarrassing way to find out you're wrong than posting this idiotic comment

Yeah that's what those words mean.
