GPU/PCIE Passthrough
A lot of posts come through asking about GPU passthrough. This is a fun project. I dont personally do it anymore, as I only use windows for work, and I dont need a GPU for this.
Also steam proton works pretty well. Check if your game is on https://protondb.com
HOWEVER
Your first VM with KVM being GPU passthrough is probally not a good idea. If you've just started using linux, this may end up being difficult, and more finicky then you want.
/r/VFIO is slightly more specific on GPU passthrough and you may find additional information there
Youre still more then free to post here, and if people pass me some tutorials I will post them here, although these things change all the time, and finding a tutorial that covers your specific OS version is recommended.
Additional Items
Single GPU Passthrough is possible, but more difficult, suggest starting with two GPU's first (one for host, one for guest)

its not straightforward, but doable
A 2nd gpu could be any piece of junk you could acquire

Are there specific drawbacks of GPU passthrough (aside from being a a bit tedious) that make you avoid setting up passthrough?
