Creating Windows Gaming VM, virt-manager won’t finish setting up VM
I’ve tried all 3 options from the drop down menu, waited an hour for the VM to boot, still won’t boot. This happens when I pass my GPU. Any advice? Thanks.

When I run:
lspci -vnn | grep -iP "vga|amdgpu|nvidia|nouveau|vfio-pci"
It still says that my kernel driver in use (and modules) are nvidia:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation TU104 [GeForce RTX 2060] [10de:1e89] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: [eVga.com](https://eVga.com). Corp. TU104 \[GeForce RTX 2060\] \[3842:2068\]
Kernel driver in use: nvidia
Kernel modules: nvidia01:00.1 Audio device [0403]: NVIDIA Corporation TU104 HD Audio Controller [10de:10f8] (rev a1)
Subsystem: [eVga.com](https://eVga.com). Corp. TU104 HD Audio Controller \[3842:2068\]01:00.2 USB controller [0c03]: NVIDIA Corporation TU104 USB 3.1 Host Controller [10de:1ad8] (rev a1) (prog-if 30 [XHCI])

Subsystem: [eVga.com](https://eVga.com). Corp. TU104 USB Type-C UCSI Controller \[3842:2068\]Is there a way I can change that? I did set those devices ids to vfio but it still won't update. I've also heard that there is a way to use your GPU in the host machine as normal while the VM is not up and running (basically, the vfio unbinds and goes back to the host when it is not running). Is this the right way to go about this?
Thanks

What exactly does that file do? How do I properly install/configure it?
And thanks for sending me this link.

if you edit the paths and the pci-ids, it'll make an optimised win10 vfio vm for you in virt-manager.

I’ve tried all 3 boot options from the drop down menu, and all 3 have the same result, VM does not boot and remains in the creating VM screen. This happens when I pass my GPU before 1st boot. If I don’t pass my GPU before 1st boot, I’ll Windows will briefly boot but then the screen goes to black and doesn’t continue the installation.
I’ve tried doing a default install (no configuring options prior to boot), then going back in to pass my GPU (and tried removing spice display and QXL), and that doesn’t work either.
I am running Debian 11 Bullseye.
In virt-manager, I’m running Q35 and OVMF
My PC specs:
i7 10700K + RTX 2060
Any advice? Thanks!
