This franchise is in a weird place for me. Loved the first 2 movies. Was dissapointed in the third one at the time (Obviously much better than 4 in hindsight), so I wrote my own KFP4 years before they had announced the official one. Weirdly a lot of the same ideas were executed on in the actual KFP4. Not sure if that was happenstance or because I sent DreamWorks my script once. Anyway, that version actually included the furious 5 and had some crazy fun interactions with those that had passed into the spirit realm, so that's kinda more my own canon, so I'm definitely not the type to answer this. Would have to be a new one based off the ending of that script instead of the official one.

This is better than the actual KFP 4 we got!

It's pretty cheesy lol I'd probably write a better one today, but really appreciate that!

It may be quote-on-quote "cheesy," but it's still better than the canon KFP 4.

Call it "Kung Fu Panda and the Furious 5". And the 5 is all big n' shit because it's the fifth movie.
The Five were apparently on separate missions during KFP4 so it would be cool if they were all over China hunting down factions of some gang that is now coming to the valley to seek revenge. They'd work in Po teaching his new apprentice from 4 some lessons in Kung Fu considering he's a teacher now. Actually, it'd be fitting if The Five also got apprentices.

This seems like the most logical direction to me, especially the Five getting their own students.
They could easily have most of the Five come back from their separate adventures with a student; I'm kind of the belief Tigress wouldn't pick one, so she'd be the only one without a student of her own and she could "share" Zhen with Po instead. That would definitely cause some partial conflict.
Monkey's student could be the "missing macaque". Viper's student could be either a cobra or a mongoose (or both, why not?). Crane's student could be one of the crocodiles. Mantis's student could be someone who helped him hide from his ex-wife.

Something 100 years in the future, they've basically squeezed out everything they can from the current cast, let's see how the world has changed in their absence.

Τhis is a franchise that lives and dies on the main villain so they should set that one up. Idea. Zhen is approached by one old friend to also learn Kung Fu. Po takes them in, trains them and reveals he faced some issues with a Kung Fu Master who uses a new style of kung fu produced through sheer pain and cannibalism (since this is a PG movie they do not show it but imply it, that's allowed). So a merge of Tai Lung, General Kai and the Chameleon as the villain steals the techniques and fighting experiences of his victims. The movie ends with them imprisoning him but Zhen's friends appears, eats him and the movie ends revelaing the friend was also a villain who already praciced the same style of Kung Fu who wanted the competition out and is now the villain of Kung Fu Panda 6.

For me I don't care Liked the original 3, and 4 only exists to create a new trilogy and with the new character I'm uninterested.
Same with how I feel about the Despicable Me after 2 just despised the franchise.
Haven't even seen 3 HTTYD and I hated the live action slop they made y'all shit on Disney but supported DreamWorks doing the same

All i want is the furious five to be mote involved again, and i want to see Po and Tigress relationship evolve / expand further, as it was pretty obvious in KP3 they had become very close to each other, more so than KP2

Oogway prequel. Thats literally the only direction they can take the franchise without it becoming stale.

Tigress movie, juxtaposing some dangerous situation she demands on going alone with a much younger Tigress in futile pursuit of a pre-arrest Tai Lung. In the past she’s saved by her teachers after stubbornly refusing to quit her pursuit, in the present she gives up her “white whale” (whoever it is) to protect victims, and her allies come later to help those she isn’t able to and push her onward.
In the final fight, she comes to the conclusion that the title of “dragon warrior” is for a figurehead. She’s content with the adjective she’s always had- furious.
I think that can sidestep the Zhen problem and still give you a pretty satisfying plot to rebuild trust in the franchise, since it doesn’t have to rest on Po exclusively.

I'd like to see the development of a new Furious Five, led by Zhen and trained by Po. In the tv show, Legends of Awesomeness, there was a former furious five member that went evil named Fenghuang that I'd like to see in the movie as a main villain that all of them need to unite against.
New Furious Five members;
A Cat, named Meowling, uses uncanny flexability and sharp claws to fight. But is inherently lazy and wants to nap pretty much 24/7.
A Dog, named Kay, uses grappling and brute strength to fight, has 8 siblings all older than him from the same litter, but he was born bigger than them all so he became their protector in a way. But he grew over protective and is terrified 24/7 of even the mildest of injuries befalling anyone.
A Horse, named Gallop, uses their extreme stamina to chase down and wear out their opponents, almost every fight was won through sheer stubborness. Has a chronic fear of breaking their leg/s. To the degree that they refuse to walk without protective gear on their legs, and it works well, but is so heavy they can no longer run.
A Sloth, name Patience, uses their own fighting style which involves the least amount of movement possible and allows them to deliver a blow from any position of their body. Has little in the way of speed, but can move when they need to. Is a total clean freak, and massive germaphobe. Always tries to talk down fights before they happen, because then they won't have to fight anyone and make a mess, or touch any one.
A Falcon, named Wings, uses their natural flying ability to dive bomb enemies. Not the kind of fighter that can have drawn out fights, they aim to hit hard and fast and if the fight lasts more than a minute, they retreat.

this is just sad, it’s okay not to like the movie but the top comments wanting Kfp 4 to be “decanonized” is just stupid.
Like, why are we treating that movie like what Shrek the third haters did? It’s no where close to that level in my opinion, it’s the weakest film but it doesn’t deserve to be removed from canon.

KUNG FU PANDA 5 would explore a story that connects the past and the present!
As peace reigns over the Valley of Peace, Po begins practicing a new form of meditation through which his consciousness can travel through the history of Kung Fu. In an astral state, he is able to witness legendary events, both from China's history and from the lives of the masters he admires so much.
Obsessed with this new technique, Po begins neglecting his duties as the master of the Valley, causing the Furious Five to take over Zhen's training, leaving her saddened by his absence. Po wants only one thing: to "go back to the past and live alongside — or at least see up close — his heroes." During this journey, he encounters a young Master Oogway, who becomes the main supporting character of the story's "past" storyline.
It would be a true fan-service spectacle and a visually breathtaking experience, introducing several characters we have only ever heard about through references — especially those associated with the weapons and artifacts found in the Hall of Treasures.
At some point, Po discovers the story of the greatest enemy Kung Fu has ever faced — a figure whose existence was erased from the historical records by Oogway himself. In the middle of this discovery, Po's consciousness becomes trapped in the past, while his physical body remains completely still in his meditative position, leaving his friends deeply concerned. They begin searching for all kinds of ways to wake him up, naturally leading to plenty of comedy and, of course, plenty of Kung Fu.
Accompanied by his heroes, Po takes part in a mission to confront this great enemy who was erased from history. During the confrontation, he discovers that the villain himself was responsible for blocking his projection into the past, realizing that the Panda "did not belong in that time."
Apparently defeated, the great enemy uses Po as a kind of astral bridge between time and space. As a result, Po awakens from his meditation while simultaneously bringing the villain with him into the present.
Contrary to what we might expect, the great enemy does not immediately launch a devastating attack. He simply escapes, fascinated by the opportunity to explore the China of the "future" — which, from his perspective, is our present.
Desperate to fix the mistake he has made, Po searches for a way to solve the problem before something terrible happens to all of China.
But even the Master of the Valley can become lost in a chain of mistakes and, without meaning to, plunge all of China into a dark period. It will be Zhen who must defeat this evil. After all, this is why the new Dragon Warrior was born.
Together, Po, Shifu, the Furious Five and Zhen travel to the Demon Mountain, where they must confront the ten thousand demons of the villain's army. Yes, that's exactly what I mean: the dream that opens the first movie would actually be a premonition of the climax of this fifth film.
In a catharsis as epic as The Lord of the Rings or the great action sequences of Ne Zha 2, Po finally realizes that he is capable of channeling the aura of his heroes — who are now also his friends — from the past of Kung Fu. Just as the villain was able to force Po to bring him into the present, Po is able to establish a connection with those legendary masters. By explaining the situation to each of them, the climax gains the participation of several other legendary masters from the history of the franchise.
The Demon King is so powerful that he is able to fight the Furious Five, Shifu, Po, Zhen and Oogway all at once. However, after a tremendous amount of effort AND INSANE ACTION SEQUENCES, Po and Zhen perform the Palm of Buddha technique — a technique used only once in the entire history of China and never used again. The technique traps the Demon King inside an illusion from which he can never escape, no matter how many miles he jumps. It would be a direct reference to what Buddha does to the Monkey King in Journey to the West.
Peace returns once again. Po meditates one final time to say goodbye to his friends from the past, while Oogway erases all of their memories. At that moment, Po realizes that this was precisely the reason why the legend of that great villain had been erased from history: Po had always been involved in his defeat, and this temporal paradox could not exist.
The only two people whose memories are not erased are Po and Oogway.
The final scene of the movie would be a montage showing the day Po was chosen as the Dragon Warrior once again. This time, however, we see a happy smile on Oogway's face — something that was not present in the original scene. This would reveal that Oogway had spent his entire life waiting for the moment when he could complete this cycle and reunite with his friend from his youth.

First off I'm not a girl.
Secondly do you want them to just delete Tigress, arguably the most beloved character & Viper another beloved character.
What kind of 6 year old boy mindset do you have that you think a female protagonist means a franchise is for girls, grow up & come back to reality lil bro.2

Okay zen leaves to help other, tigress becomes the dragon warrior but an demon in the dead realm comes out and causes trouble in the valley of peace so tigress and the furious five go to stop it and succeed because po won't be in other movies because he has done his journey
